The Friends of Judy Woods were formed in March 2002. There is a committee, which consists of local residents, members of local interest groups and representatives from Royds Community Association, Bradford Metropolitan District Council and Forest of Bradford. The committee meets every month to discuss current and future issues and plan events. There is a database of Friends of Judy Woods, so that interested folk can be sent information about events in the woods. The events are mainly led by volunteers from the group, who have enthusiasm and expertise, which they are keen to share with other people. Royds Community Association provides a member of staff to support the group at all the events.
