Shelf Youth club as it is now in 2006.

In the sixties when I was a lad, I used to go to this youth club with the rest of the lads, up the steps we would climb and into the club bang on time.

I met and fell in Love with a couple of girls that also went there, the first one called Jennifer I was madly in Love with Her unfortunately something happened that to this day I do not know what, she just stopped talking to me, I went to see her at her Home down Manchester Road but alas I had lost this girl. The other called Michelle I was infatuated with but we lost contact, I wonder what they are doing now 60 years later.

Italian prisoners of War stayed here in WW2.
