A few images of Carr Steps in 2008.

Hi Ted,
Please find attached some pics which I have taken today, the footpath to the steps begins in what is now Carrbottom Fold and climbs the hills which are known locally as Scaly Hills. At the top of the hill the footpath divides into two. The left hand fork which now becomes virtually impassable, used to go to the mill which was sited on the right hand side of Wibsey bank looking up. The right hand branch continues to the bottom of Chapel Street and is still used by locals. The houses in the picture have been demolished and replaced by a new estate, I will try to find out the name of the original street. In some of the close ups which I have attached you can make out the same stones which were present in the original picture. It is impossible to recreate the picture due to new foliage, I would be interested to know when the picture was taken, if you can find out.
One more point of interest: how did you colour the black and white photo?
I'll be in touch,

Mick.

Thank you Mick for these images and the text that came with them, if you want anything changing, giz a shout.

Regards.Ted.
